The BTEC National Diploma in Interactive Media course provides the knowledge, understanding and technical skills for learners wishing to enter upon a career in Web Design, Animation, Digital Design, or Computer Game Design.
Aim of the Course
The aim of the course is to provide you with a solid foundation in new media software and technology. The course is structured to encourage the development of the skills required by the new media industry. This is achieved through offering a range of industry standard software on high quality computer hardware. The modules that may be delivered include:
- Web Authoring
- Web Animation
- Digital Graphics
- Stop Motion Animation Production
- Video Production for Interactive Media
- Sound in Interactive Media
- 3D Modelling
- 3D Animation
- 3D Environments
- Photography and Photographic Practice
How will I learn?
You will be taught through workshop-based sessions that encourage hands on experience of industry standard software and techniques.
What are the entry requirements?
You will need 4 GCSEs at grades A – C, preferably including Maths and English. All applicants will be interviewed for this course.
How long does the course last?
This is a full time two-year course
